Angela Ahrendts, Burberry CEO, at World Retail Congress 2010, about boarding the "Digital Tsunami".

The unbeatable team of Angela and Christopher has transformed Burberry , my favorite fashion brand (even before the transformation), from " Charming old-fashioned, self-effacing British " to "Edgy , young and aggressively urbane Brit".

The best part - it seems like a natural evolution from the inside out, not just a hastily put on mask.

Burberry has come really far by retaining the parts of its heritage that still work well , while discarding the rest of the inessential baggage , not a mean task for a brand that old.

I would love to see an in-depth interview, where we see Angela and Christopher talk about this journey and how they worked it all out. If ever there was an example of great synergy between strategic and creative minds - this has to be it.
